Because these experiences are an important part of TRIUMF’s contribution to developing highly qualified people for Canada’s research and innovation ecosystem, TRIUMF sought objective evidence of the career outcomes associated with this student program.
TRIUMF engaged Alumni Analyzer to examine the career trajectories of former undergraduate student employees.
Alumni Analyzer found that former undergraduate student employees are more likely to pursue higher education in a wider range of fields, more likely to remain in Canada or return after studying abroad, and more likely to build careers in Canada’s high-tech industries. Together, these results demonstrate how investments in student training at TRIUMF contribute to strengthening Canada’s talent pipeline and innovation capacity.
